Tom Sturridge, who can currently be seen in the indie drama Waiting for Forever with Rachel Bilson, also wrapped the highly anticipated film On The Road, an adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s classic beat generation novel. Sturridge plays Carlo Marx in the Walter Salles directed picture, a character inspired by Kerouac’s writing colleague Allen Ginsberg. On the Road co-stars Garrett Hedlund (he plays the iconic character Dean Moriarty), Kirsten Dunst, and Alice Braga have expressed their love for the project in recent interviews, and Sturridge also followed suit. “I mean, so incredibly,” said Sturridge when asked if he was immersed in the project, which took years to finally get off the ground. “We shot it for six months, rehearsed it for a month. I had the part a long time before that. I just read everything, I mean everything, and we all immersed ourselves in that world. I feel incredibly close to it.”
